I've always joked that I don't like the rain so I put on my rain boots and the rain goes away. This morning I was going through my daily struggle of WHAT TO WEAR?! and all of a sudden I hear rain.... Well I guess my Emilio Pucci rain boots are the perfect choice! Aren't they fabulous?! A bit run down, but I love them! I threw on my cute Miss Me jeans that my mom got me that I finally fit in (WOOHOO) and a turquoise top that I got from Ross!
WARNING: I'm a hoarder so most of my clothes and accessories are from many many years ago! I very rarely buy anything for myself because my first thought is, "well I could make that." If I ever buy anything new then you know it's something unique! Anyways, so with all that said I figured the puka shells from what, 2000, would work well with this outfit. I mean they should be circling back around, right?! haha I don't know, what do you think? I just like their super hot pink color!! I'm dreaming of the beach at the moment!! Did I mention I walked outside and NOT A DROP! It worked....HAHAHAHA! I hope you had a fabulous day! ~ ThriveBarbie

YUMMMMM!!! Today i am super thankful for my Cheesecake Factory gift cards! James and I got to have an afternoon date which included my favorites, the Santa Fe Chicken Salad (no chicken) and Oreo cheesecake...SO SO good! After our date we went to Sam's which was a terrible idea!! HA!
Uncle James enjoying his Stella time! The boys enjoyed playing with her and making her giggle too! Sweet girl!!
Day 2 of the New Year is coming to a close and I hope you had an amazing day! I had to share a picture of one of my many collections which are unique crosses that I have bought over the years or that have been given to me. Of course I had to feature them above our front door for everyone to see! :) One of my favorite crosses did not win the fight with 2 boys playing ball in the house so I had to put the "W" in it's place as I attempt to repair it. I look forward to adding more so that one day I will have a full wall! If you ever find a really unique cross I'd love to see it! I am thankful that God protects my family daily!
"You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out." Deuteronomy 28:6 Today starts a clean slate for 2019 as we close the 2018 chapter. I used to do 365 day challenges when I did scrapbooking and decided it would be fun to share my favorite photo each day for the whole year through my blog.
Tonight we went to P.F. Changs which is our yearly tradition and we get our fortune to start the year. I look forward to opening a chapter of discovery. Im really excited to see what this year brings! I hope you have an amazing year! Happy Monday! I hope you are having a special day today and if you are not then I'd be happy to enlighten you on how special you are! Focus on people you want to be with!
This weekend was a WIN! Friday night was craft 'n yak at my moms which consisted of Wine, bundtinis and yakking with friends! Sadly I didn't get pictures of the crafts. Saturday was super busy, but just as fun! In a past life I likely would not have peeled myself off of the couch to attend which is just sad! Me and Connor started off the day at 9 am at Nickelrama celebrating Evie's birthday! It was great to be able to spend some time with my babyboy! We will definitely have to go back there!
Sunday FundaySunday was James' 14th day thriving and he was up with me cleaning early! He's THRIVING yall!! I've been setting out his stuff every morning, but this morning he said he had already taken it. I guess it really does take 15 days to create a habit! <3 Back to Sunday....we went to Jade's birthday party and went skating again. Connor learned how to skate this time. They both had an amazing time and we had to drag them off of the rink!! The memories we are able to make are priceless!
I hope you all had a fabulous Monday!! Early 2017 was the start of my first sit down job EVER!! I absolutely LOVE my job, but the biggest transition was the fact that I was somewhat chained to a desk for 8+ hours. I never really needed to exercise because the 8+ hours I was running around the country club or in the sample room was enough to call it the gym that paid me. HA! Around January of 2018 after having my "sit down" job for not even a year, I ran into a realization that due to me sitting and being inactive all day while snacking for the majority of it, I was either going to have to start exercising more or eating healthier because I officially weighed more than I did even when I was pregnant. I also noticed my legs were restless non stop! Did you know that restless leg syndrome (RLS) is classified as a sleeping disorder according to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke? Also, according to the New York Times, the workplace has been cited as a new source for the rise in obesity, but let's be honest, it's always been a problem. If you are inactive in your job then I think you probably already know there has always been a problem and I think we've all just adjusted to it as our new "reality" because we are content with being unhappy and might even be too lazy to change because we've become a society that does NOT like change. My mission is to make happiness contagious because it feels so good to be healthy and happy! Thankfully Thrive came into my life and saved the day! It gives me the energy I need to put down the cup/can of all of those calories I once consumed daily. It's helped my appetite management so that I'm no longer needing to snack all day, maybe too good most days. I rarely eat candy now! My legs are no longer restless like they were which could partly be attributed to our lovely new desks that allow me to stand when needed, but I think the benefits of Thrive have been the biggest contributing factor. I have always struggled with sleep, but I think it was around March when I realized how amazing I was sleeping! Funny how the body works, right?! It's like a team and if one person on the team is struggling then the whole team is going to have to work harder to make up for that player. You can't bench your body parts as much as I'm sure you'd like to! haha I see so many struggling through posts and if I reach out to you it's not because I want to make a buck off of you, it's because I truly care about you and know that this product is a game changer! Wendy's random message to me in February absolutely changed everything. If you will just give it 60 days, you too will see how amazing you can feel. Check out the "Le-Vel" fan page on Facebook to see how many stories are just like mine! It's not just me! :) If you are interested in more information about the Thrive 8-week experience just shoot me an email at [email protected] and I will be happy to help you get started or answer any questions! Curious how?
