What is a geofilter? You probably see these on a daily basis but didn't realize what it was. When you upload a picture to facebook or take a picture with snapchat and can swipe to add "Rowlett" or a really cool "Labor Day", that is what is called a geofilter. The even cooler thing about these is that you can make your very own when having an event or for people to tag themselves at your store! There is a small fee involved to add it on snapchat but it is really easy to do if you are savvy with creating your own graphics. Once you have your geofilter ready you can upload to snapchat.com and create a fence for your location. They do charge a fee for the geofilters starting at $5.00 depending on the amount of time you want to use it and the amount of sq ft you are wanting to cover but if you want to just create one for the community without any logos then you can upload it for free. I've added an example below of a community filter. I've attached a video to show how to make your own....happy geofiltering!! I'm creating one for my next event for sure!!! P.S. There is still time to vote for me as "AMERICA'S NEXT TOP BLOG" for my class! Go to https://dallassnobblog.com/2016/08/22/americas-next-top-blog-social-media-edition/2016/08/22/americas-next-top-blog-social-media-edition/ and go to the "vote here" section at the bottom then click the survey monkey link to VOTE!! :) |
Lindsey WestI have officially graduated and am pursuing my dream as a fashion designer! I just recently got hired as a Design Request Manager at Varsity, where I started out as a Sample Room coordinator. The fashion designer life is so amazing and stressful that I thought it would be fun to share some day to day (personal) projects and events with you!! Archives
