Pinterest is the perfect platform for the crafty consumer! Have you ever tried to figure out how it could work for your business? Michael’s is a good example of a company that has been strategic about improving their business via Pinterest increasing their sales by allowing pinners to buy supplies through their links or through the app. They are also using data mining to figure out what people are buying and viewing that they can offer. I've attached a link to cover some of the basic principles to consider when using this as your source of marketing to hopefully turn your business into a gold mine. The key of course is to plan before you start doing any pinning then after you have finished you should pin and repin. Also, as with any other social media platforms you will need a “call to action” button to get them to buy right then. I know very well that if you don’t get them to purchase right then they may go to another similar pin and if another company has set up their account to get the consumer to purchase then you have lost that sell that would have been easily yours. Below is a link to learn the other important factors for setting up your Pinterest account.
